This beautiful spotted feather is from a guinea hen. It stands out in simple elegance against a black background.
Guinea hens are sometimes sold with chickens at farm stores. We have a pair, and they are interesting creatures. They are not as domesticated as chickens. They can often be found high, on the top of the garage or chicken coop. They look like little ladies with bustles as they comb the yard for grass and bugs. And they drop these beautiful, spotted feathers.
