Artist's Description
A single shamrock sprouts from the forest floor in Oregon. Tiny water droplets from a recent rain dot the leaves. The shamrock is a symbol of St. Patrick's Day. It was used by St. Patrick to try to explain the Holy Trinity to unbelievers.
About Catherine Avilez
I am a nature photographer based in the beautiful Willamette Valley of Oregon. Living in the Pacific Northwest lends itself to inspiration. I am surrounded by beautiful colors and textures, whether in the spring flowers and meadows or the majestic forests and rivers. I don't have to go far to find beautiful shots, in fact many of them come from within a few miles of my house or even my backyard. I also love capturing objects and scenes in monochrome, finding that removing color brings out the essence of the subject. I have a passion for my craft, and am always learning and growing.
