The North Fork Middle Fork of the Willamette River was high on this winter's afternoon. I was shooting photos near the town of Westfir near Oakridge, Oregon. This is a beautiful spot off the Aufderheide Highway that runs through the Willamette National Forest.

I am a nature photographer based in the beautiful Willamette Valley of Oregon. Living in the Pacific Northwest lends itself to inspiration. I am surrounded by beautiful colors and textures, whether in the spring flowers and meadows or the majestic forests and rivers. I don't have to go far to find beautiful shots, in fact many of them come from within a few miles of my house or even my backyard. I also love capturing objects and scenes in monochrome, finding that removing color brings out the essence of the subject. I have a passion for my craft, and am always learning and growing.
