A peaceful mountain stream flows through a stand of alder trees in this long exposure photo taken in the Cascades Mountains foothills in Oregon. The water is dreamy as it flows past mossy boulders and bankside ferns and bracken. The moss on the alder trunks creates a nice contrast to the white bark.

I am a nature photographer based in the beautiful Willamette Valley of Oregon. Living in the Pacific Northwest lends itself to inspiration. I am surrounded by beautiful colors and textures, whether in the spring flowers and meadows or the majestic forests and rivers. I don't have to go far to find beautiful shots, in fact many of them come from within a few miles of my house or even my backyard. I also love capturing objects and scenes in monochrome, finding that removing color brings out the essence of the subject. I have a passion for my craft, and am always learning and growing.
