This fall image of Short Bridge near Cascadia in the Oregon Cascades is beautifully washed by the afternoon sun. There is a maple tree in fall colors near the front of the bridge, and the white facing is dappled with light. I used a watercolor effect on this photograph to give it a soft, painterly feel.
I am a nature photographer based in the beautiful Willamette Valley of Oregon. Living in the Pacific Northwest lends itself to inspiration. I am surrounded by beautiful colors and textures, whether in the spring flowers and meadows or the majestic forests and rivers. I don't have to go far to find beautiful shots, in fact many of them come from within a few miles of my house or even my backyard. I also love capturing objects and scenes in monochrome, finding that removing color brings out the essence of the subject. I have a passion for my craft, and am always learning and growing.
