Description
The Coquille River at the Rocky Point County Park boat ramp is glassy and calm on this cold winter morning. A soft mist rises from the water as the sun begins to rise.
The Coquille River runs through Bandon on the central Oregon coast. To get this shot, I did some winter camping in one of the local state parks. The benefit of winter photography in the higher latitutdes is that you don't have to get up too early to beat the sun. The trade-off is the cold. On this beautiful morning, it was totally worth it. I hope you enjoy the early morning tranquility as I've presented it.
