Demure red tulips bow toward their reflection on a cool spring day at the Wooden Shoe Tulip Festival in Woodburn, Oregon. This festival takes place annually as spring arrives in the Willamette Valley. It draws crowds from the surrounding area, and in addition to acres of beautiful tulips, offers food, vendors, and entertainment.

I am a nature photographer based in the beautiful Willamette Valley of Oregon. Living in the Pacific Northwest lends itself to inspiration. I am surrounded by beautiful colors and textures, whether in the spring flowers and meadows or the majestic forests and rivers. I don't have to go far to find beautiful shots, in fact many of them come from within a few miles of my house or even my backyard. I also love capturing objects and scenes in monochrome, finding that removing color brings out the essence of the subject. I have a passion for my craft, and am always learning and growing.
