Description

Recently I took a road trip to my favorite mountain range, the Grand Tetons. I was there a week, which is more than the pass-through trips of the past. In that time I saw so many variations on these mountains, from bright sunlight to completely clouded over with a snow-laden sky. This photo was from my first evening in the park. The sun was setting, illuminating the cumulus clouds that were hanging above the mountains. The sky reflected in the beaver pond creates a nice foreground. The autumn colors of the sage, willow, and grasses have always appealed to me, and they are a nice contrast to the blues of the sky and the purple mountains. Grand Teton National Park will always be one of my favorite locations.
